well, she's about there... still needs an optic. this was going to be the 'SP-3' (colt pencil barrel on a flattop upper), but decided to go with a flattop gov't barreled upper instead. now she's 'the pig'.
  specs: -bushmaster lower -tangodown grip -VLTOR A1 clubfoot stock -colt upper w/colt 1/7 gov't profile barrel, colt b/c/ch -LMT BUIS -cobray launcher, anodized green 'to match armalite funriture' so they said... not so much, says i. -not pictured, profile tactical (ARin is the man!) sling 1) needs optic. 2) need another mount kit for the launcher. the supplied mount kit is lacking, needs one more attachment point so IT DOESNT FALL OFF WHEN A 30 ROUND MAG IS INSERTED FORCEFULLY. 3) anodizing on the launcher sucks. i think it and the handguard are getting a breakup pattern in OD and black krylon. 4) triggerguard on launcher will be bent forward to allow insertion of 30 rd mag without hindrance. enjoy! incidentally, because i can never make up my mind, everything on this but the lower is for sale now in the EE. |

Is that top handgaurd part of the launcher?

ETA: got the lower and all parts (stock, grip, etc) from mooneys. aweosme. barreled upper from GDS_Scott. awesome. b/c/ch and LMT BUIS from C4iGrant. awesome. 20rd colt mags from JOMX2. awesome. single point sling (not pictured) from ARin. awesome. |

I like the rig, and in fact, want to build one similiar. I picked up a Gov't Profile Bushey 1:7 that is itching to become something similar If you don't mind me asking, how much did the launcher/accessories cost? |

I still have a hard time with those stocks (I know I know), but I have to admit the entire pig has appeal. Very nice.
Have you fired anything through it in size 37 yet? |

i want to say the whole launcher rig came up to a little over 300. i know you can pick them up cheaper, but it seems like when i dont have the money, they are everywhere, and when i did, they were scarce. so i went for it. oh well. |

not sure, i need to get a decently accurate scale and weigh it. my guess is between 10lbs and a shit ton. i think it is at least as heavy as my old FALs or my pop's HK91. |

it and the rail both are. not really sure what the designers were thinking when they did this, but you are right. pic of a 'real' M203 mounted on a 20":  you will also note the shorter rail, and longer handguard on the launcher tube itself. also, and this is not true of all the commercial launchers, but the slide rail on mine sits below the handguard, versus the real ones which sit in the handguard. aesthetically, i don't know which i prefer, functionally, don't know if that would make a huge difference or not. |

I enjoy the 37mm, I need to buy more flares/smokes. I like how it hangs close to the barrel. mine hangs lower |
