Yay, it worked. Thats my son Jeff holding the AR. I've assembled lowers before and put on a pre built upper. This is totally assembled by me. Barrel is from Century Int'l Arms, the 2 for $99.00 deal. Stripped A2 upper from LAR Grizzly at the SHOT Show. Lower was a stripped unit I got from Hesse about 8 years ago. Bolt and carrier from Olympic Arms, as is the 6 position stock. I got the A2 rear sight free from a friend. Flash hider and lower parts kit and free float handguard from DPMS.

Jeff's AR. DPMS lower with JP adjustable trigger. Olympic SUM 20 inch bull upper. Tasco 6-24 scope. Wook brass catcher. Harris bipod. Accu shot mono pod in rear.

I bought 2 Hesse receivers years ago, before I knew any better. I found out when I compared them to other lowers how out of spec the can be. Replaced them on primary varmint guns with DPMS. I'm using them now (after some modification) on fun guns.
