You can also get the Olympic SUM barrel in 1 turn in 8" at no extra charge. These barrels have broach cut rifling and are generally more accurate than button rifled.

I bought 2 of these in 1 in 10, a 16" and a 20".  Neither shoot great, but I never really got serious about working up a load for them.  I took my normally very accurate 55gr load, and it did about an inch...but those barrels are supposed to be better than that.  I will start in when the weather gets cooler, and try some lighter bullets and see if that does anything.

The 20" is just sitting around now, as a spare.  Damn, all I need is a receiver, and a float tube, and I got ANOTHER upper hehe.  Oh, and a bolt/carrier, and a ..........

Damn...anyone want a barrel?

Does anyone sell cold-hammer forged barrels for AR15s?  If so, does anyone sell chrome-lined cold hammer forged barrels?

A few years back, someone said there were some Lothar Walther barrels available for the AR-10.
But now I'd just like to know if anyone sells hammer forged AR-15 barrels.

This is a barrel list pulled from the Internet, not all the barrel maker names listed have offerings that are reasonably easy to purchase for the AR-15.

For instance, if you do a search for "Lothar Walther" you get some dead links, and some barrels for .50 cal & the Beowulf.

For another instance, Montana Rifleman Barrels works manly with bolt action rifles. Nothing sez they won't do an AR-15 contour, but it's not their speciality. Same for  Broughton-Richards.

Not very helpful when you don't check your work.

Diemaco/Colt Canada makes them, but they're not available in the USA AFAIK.  I read a post by one member who had one, but that's it.  I'm hoping we'll be able to get "Colt" cold hammer forged barrels now that Colt owns Diemaco, but I'm not holding my breath...
