Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Upper to barrel fit

How tight a fit is the barrel in the upper receiver?  Mine fits in up to the notch for the indexing pin on the barrel.  There is a 1/8 inch gap.  Will the barrel nut make it all come together?  I am worried about not being able to remove the barrel if I need to later.

The barrel nut should pull it the rest of the way into the indexing notch when it is tightened. You might want to put some anti-seize on the outside of the barrel extension before putting it into the upper receiver. That way, if you ever have to remove it again, it will come out easier.
