I have a relatively new RRA 16 CAR upper and am replacing the barrel with a BM superlight. The upper has less than 300 rounds thru it. Can I just change the barrel or do I need a new bolt too? I remember something about the bolt and barrel becoming a pair, or something.

You should be okay, seeing as how your bolt doesn't have much wear on it yet. You can always buy headspace gauges just to be sure. I prefer to keep barrels and bolts together as a matched set.

A few hundred rounds on it?  It is practically brand new.  Don't worry about it.  Keep the bolt.

Or send it to me, I can use it.

Thanks guys. I'll 'risk' it with my bolt.
