Hey guys,
I just got an A2 with an HBAR and was wondering how hard it is to simply switch the barrel.  I know bushmaster offers compelete assemblies with the tube, handguards, and flash hider, so I'm asking what is involved in simply taking the old barrel off and putting the new one on.

Check the tacked threads at the top of the page. Procedure is outlined in HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN UPPER. Simple with the right tools.

If you are looking to be able to switch back and forth between barrels, it is better to build a second upper and buy a second bolt (not carrier), That way if you want to switch, all you have to do is pop the upper off, pull the bolt, stick the second upper on, and put the new bolt in the carrier and go.
