Hi,

About a year ago, I found an 80% ar receiver on e-bay.

I e-mailed the seller.  He said he wire EDM's the mag well.  I remember his add said he now engraved "fire" and "safe" onto the receiver.

I am now ready to start  my ar project (promised the wife I would finish the new workshop before I started using it) but I can't find his e-mail anywhere.

Does anyone have any idea who this might have been?

Second thought...

I want to start with a forging (should be much stronger than a casting).  I was worried about a broach cut mag well not being as accurate as a wire EDM cut unit.

Am I being too fussy?  I want to make an accurate target rifle.  I've read all the articles and books on making an ar accurate.  Most books just say "use a quality receiver".  Use of ovesized pins with anti-walk clips, custom fitting (minimum side clearance) of the trigger into the receiver and use of an accu-wed seem be all they metion on the reciever?

Any thoughts???

Thanks ..... Mike
