Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Who makes Model 1's barrels?

I have a 16" Hbar "postban" unlined barrel that I cut their welded on brake off of.  Shoots well, but I want to know who made it.

No markings except an "M" stamped in barrel just forward of the chamber area.

The claim they're made by E.R. Shaw.  They will also claim they're either 4140 or 4150, depending who you get on the phone that day.

Got a reply from both ER shaw and Model One.  Model One said my barrel was made by ER Shaw and ER Shaw confirmed they make 4140 chromoly and stainless barrels for Model One. ER Shaw sells M1S the chambered and threaded barrel and M1S does the final assembly.
