Well, I am very pleased with the M4 kit I just received from M1S. It mates up nice and tight with my RRA lower and the finish is an excellent match. The barrel is turned down under the hand guards and the butt stock seems well made. I was extremely pleased with their service. And the best part was that it was in my hands in 42 hours from ordering. Nothing fancy and now I need to find some sights.

That's good to know since I'll probably be buying a M1S M4 kit in a few weeks except I'm getting the A2 style upper. I hope it matches well with the Ameetec lower I bought yesterday.

I also ordered an Ameetech for this build. I stuck it on a RRA lower I already had because I could not wait to see what it would look like. Nothing worse than a new toy that you can't do anything with.

I'm interested in how it shoots too. I bought three Ameetec lowers yesterday while I could afford to do so. I'm thinking a 5.56 16" carbine M1S kit first. Anybody got thoughts on their 6.8 Rem SPC kit on an Ameetec lower?

Yes, it does. That is what you're seeing in the picture. I don't care for it a whole lot, but the barrel has "M1S" stamped on it as well.

The M1S logo is a wee ghey...
I managed to "chisel" it down and sand it smooth. Takes a while, just get comfy on the couch, bust out the tanto and fine grit! |

I ordered this setup with a chrome-lined barrel. I'm buying a DPMS lower to put it on. I'll let you know how it turns out when I get it. |

No, I still haven't shot it yet. I'm waiting on my carry handle to arrive. I'll report when I do. I'm hoping to find some nice accessories at the Tulsa show next weekend.

I'm still fiddling a bit, finer grit will get rid of the minor swirls. if I mess it up too bad, I'll just slap decal stock in there. I ordered a CAR kit on Oct 2. Still dont have it, and can't get Model 1 to let me know when it's going to ship. Every company I've worked for has stressed cutomer service. IMO model 1 has customer NO service.
