Building an M4 type carbine from a receiver I have on hand. On a budget, so the debate about all the high tech $200+ stocks is moot for me. I have a $100 bill to spend on a stock and was hoping those in the know could help me out here. Fiberite? 4 or 6 position? DSA? Who makes a serviceable model for my proce range?

I hear good things about Cavalry Arms... nice bunch of guys too. They offer a standard M4 configuration, but in different colors (if this matters to you).

I think the best bang for the buck is a Rock River 6 position M4 model, for ~$70

Affirm, they are pretty available from several different vendors, and are of good quality.

Why dont you just get one of the "super stocks" used to save money instead of the crappy old 6 position stock? I have a spare Magpul M93 laying here I dont need for example.

Mine came from RB Precision with a CAR wrench for $74.
shipping included, I think.
