I am going to build myself an rifle based off the old M-16A1.

I will be looking at the Ameetec stripped lower recievers later today. I have seen nothing but good things about their lower recievers and customer service on this site so I thought I would check them out.

What parts kit do you recomend for them.

Also what uppers would you recomend as well. I'm not interested in complete uppers. I would rather build it myself. Also what will I need as far as the parts to build the upper. I know I will need the stripped reciever, the forward assist assembly, the bolt carrier group, the and the bolt, charging handle, the rear sights as well as the barrel and hand gaurds. Am I missing anything.

Also does anyone know where I can get the triangle hand gaurds. I know thats probably a tall order but I want it too look like the M-16A1.

I am new to this forum but not new to guns and I don't think I will have a problem putting this together when I can finally afford all the parts. Thanks in advance
