Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Legal Barrel length?

Does the ban that is now over have anything to do with barrel length?  Can I put an 11 1/2" short barrel on any lower?
I could not find out any info on this in my search.  I plan on building a tactical entry rifle with a colapsable stock for CQC sport shooting.

you could always have a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) with the right registration. It still costs $200 for the tax and you need ATF approval. so without the money and the approval 16" my friend is the shortest you can go for barrel length. The AWB had nothing to do with barrel length only barrel accessories like FH, and threading
