You mean it's not a flathead screw? Every AR pistol grip I've seen uses a large flathead screw with a lock washer. Sorry I don't know the actual size offhand.

ive got 2 allen wrench sets, but they are not long enough to fit in the handle, so ive got to go out and buy an allen wrench long enough, and of the correct size.

Take the allen screw with you when you buy the allen wrench.

I built my lower and the allen wrench you need will be 3/16" and you need to get a 7" long wrench to reach into the pistol grip. Home Depot sells a set of long ones for about 3 dollars
