I have a 16" CAR kit rifle and I would like to remove the Brake. Are there any major hurdles to this process? I don't mind destroying the brake, but I don't want to even come close to hurting the end of the barrel. Also, is the end of the barrel threaded? I know there have been a few threads about brake removal, but I just want to make sure that I won't find any nasty surprises while I'm in the middle of all this, with no way to go back if I get into a bind.

You could just ask them directly, in the industry forums.

They answer pretty quick.
