Well, after taking my time and getting the parts I wanted, I have completed a Varminter AR-15 build using the following:

Lower/Upper are MEGA
Bushmaster lower kit
RRA Bolt/Carrier group
Wilson 24" SS bbl assy
Bushmaster vented free float tube
Bushmaster mini risers
Weaver steel rings
Tasco Target scope 6x24x44
RRA A2 stock

Took her out to the range today and I am soooo pleased with the results I wanted to share them with you.  My load was as follows:

LC-91 brass, preped
Sierra 52Gr HPBT Match
26.0  W-748
Standard Primer (not magnum as some data suggests)
AOL was 2.915 (Stoney Point AOLG used)  Yes, too long for magazine use

After firing some military ball (C-77) to prep the barrel and get the scope where I wanted it, I shot several nice groups.  Discounting one flyer, the largest 100 yard group was .750" consisting of 7 shots and the best 100 yard 5-shot group was .490" .

The best thing about all this is I had a great day at the range with my patrol partner who had an awsome AK.

I wish I had a way to post pics of the target and the rifle but I just am not that computer savy.

I'll take some pictures tonight using a cheap camera, develop them and attempt to scan them so I can e-mail them to you.  Send me a e-mail at [email protected].

Thanks
