Anyone know? I have a 16" pencil barrel wondering if I should build another upper. Can I get 2" groups at 100 yds if I do my part?

TIA

With my Bushmaster 16" Superlight, I get 1" at 100 yrds using Nosler Ballastic Tip handloads and a Leupold 20X scope.

A heavier barrel helps you by taking more heat without bending and the weight helps steady the rifle.  They also whip less which can make it easier to work up a load for it.  The skinny barrel is just as capable for high accuracy as the heavy barrel, just not for as long due to the lower heat capacity, and they are harder to steady somewhat, recoil a bit more.
