Many vendors of ARs at gun shows stock some of the specialized items.  Military tools are good if you find any - with exception of the barrel nut wrench.  One case where the aftermarket tool is better.

Hand tools can be found at Sears, Mac, Snap-On and others.  Avoid Chinese hand tools - most are paper weights.

I have bought a LOT of hand tools including wrenches, screw drivers, pin punches, hammers (soft and hard) etc at the local flea market.  Pick up a broken or worn out Mac, Snap-On or Craftsman item and return it under warranty for a new one.  Do not overlook garage sales, auctions and the like.
