Hey, I'm new to AR's, and would truly appreciate any help you guys could offer.  I know most of my questions have probably been asked many, many times and for that I appologize.  I have looked at Model "1", and J&T.  Are there any other manufactures I should look at?  Also what kind of build-time am I looking at for a project like this?  The site looks awesome, and I look forward to being a part of it.  Thanks and have a good one.

Model 1 and JT looks to be the 2 most people uses here.

I did my first build in about an hour.

Remember to use some CLP(can be found at local sporting good stores) on the parts as you assemble.

Dont force anything....

First thing I'ld do is try and decide what kind of rifle you want...for your first one.  Depending on how you or what, you want to shoot. You can tailor your first build to that goal.  If your needs or wants change later you can just add another upper, and yes you can put together your uppers too.  Just adds a little more knowledge to your crainium.

What do you want to shoot?
