Im doing my first AR build.  I just ordered my lower and upper receivers yesterday and am ordering the rest as soon a I figure out what I want.  The lower and upper are RRA, as such I was focused on thier NM 2 stage trigger.  The more I read about the different triggers the more Im leaning toward the JP single stage.  The two things im woundering is if I should get the speed hammer too (does it make a big difference) or just use the standard hammer.  The other thing is which bolt should I get,  I was looking at RRA's because they are cheap and chrome plated.  Is this a good bolt or should I be looking at someone elses too.

On the bolt, a chrome bolt and carrier looks pretty, and allows you to see the fouling on the bolt, but the plating builds up the bolt, and cause more wear to the upper until it breaks/wears in.  Also, chrome plating will flake off over time.  If you building a range queen, get a chrome plated bolt.  If your looking for a great bolt, then don't get one that is chrome plated, it will last a lot longer, due to not flaking.

On the trigger, do you want a single stage or two stage?  Unless you have the equipment to test lock time, you will never notice the difference of hammer lock-times. Also your kind of chase your tail regarding hammer weight, lock time and trigger pull weight.
