If I install a new barrel, can I use the tube from my 1st barrrel or should I get a new one?

Yep.  I've never seen one that wouldn't fit a new upper / gas block.

You should be able to use the old tube assuming that you're not going from a rifle barrel to a carbine or something like that (different lenght tubes).  You might want to pick up a new gas tube pin just cause they're small and you might loose it.  Everything is reusable except the crush/peel washer if your building a preban with a GI type FS.
