1) Installing/removing the safety select. Tricks? Anything to it?  2) Is there a good book/manual for the how to's for the ar?  I have a new one but if I do another, I'll do it myself.  Thanks

Remove handgrip with detent. Pull hammer back and the safety will come out.

Don't even have to remove the handgrip.  Just unscrew it about halfway, which will drop the dentent and spring down far enough that, if you rotate the safety to halfway between the two settings, you can push it right out[:D]
