I am interested in buying a new grip for my M16 and I am not sure what is out there to choose from. Any help is appreciated!!

My current project has a First Samco G27 grip. I've fired several rifles with this grip and it is very comfortable. It also has a removable plug with spaces for storage of two batteries in the plug or just to keep spare springs, etc. in the grip. They go for around $24.

I have a pachmeyer (sp?) grip and an ergo on two HD carbines and a sierra precision on my range rifle.  I like the pachmeyer and ergo witha maybe a slight edge going to the ergo and the SP is pretty nice but a little short for my largish hands.  All are improvements to the stock A2 grip IMO. I am probably going to try a battle grip next for its storage potential.

I must say i haven't been tempted by any of fobus's offerings except a paddle holster which turned out to be a POS.

Again, this is by no means a comprehensive list, just what I've seen lately.

I've got Hogue grips on several of mine, and like them a lot. I have a Sierra grip on one and like it too. Best bet is get to a shoot and check them all out and find out what works best for you.

The "best" grip is the one that fits "your" hand the best and is the most comortable. If you can go to a show and find all the different grips you can get your hands on, or try to get together with some people in your area.

I don't want to sound like a smarta## but, this really turns into a ford versus chevy debate, remember this is YOUR weapon there are many like it but this one is YOURS.

ive got the g27 on mine. i really like it but for my next build ill use an ergo, just cause..

I have 3 Hogues, one G27, and one Sierra Precision.  I like the Hogue the best; the G27 is very nice, but has a platicky feel that isn't as nice as the Hogue.  The SP is nice too, but if I could only have one aftermarket grip, it would be the Hogue, hands down.  

Now, if Fobus made the G27 out of the same stuff Hogue uses, THAT would be a keeper!  

I prefer the ol' A1 pistolgrip (see pic)

im partial to the ergo-ambi as well... very grippy, and very comfortable...  

I have 4 ambi Ergo's on 3 rigs. [;)]

Vote for the Duckbill here. Last price I saw was $7.99.

I've had Hogues on pistols and now on the AR.

They are very nice.

I couldn't stand the original grip. No offense to the old-timers...

I have the Samco (Fobus) on most of my AR's.
It is Excellent!
Fits like a glove.

But recently I tried the Hogue while at the range, you can't go wrong there either.
