For those who have installed the Badger Ordnance Stabilizer trapezoidal handguard, I have a question regarding re-installing a standard A2 front sight base.  From the pictures that I've seen, it looks like the handguard side walls cover part of the gas block/sight base.  Is it possible to press in the sight base pins, or would I have to go to a gas block/sight base w/ an allen screw type attachment?

Thanks, Harry

I recently attached a Badger Ordnance fore-end on an upper.  It has the Bushmaster VMatch gas-block; basically an A2 sight base with the triangle sight cut off.  It seems that the Badger's top end is set back far enough to clear a standard A2 sight.

agony,

Thanks for the reply.  I realize that the A2 sight in itself will clear the handguard, but I would like to know how hard it would be to allign a punch to the rear taper pin to install and/or remove the A2 sight base with the Badger handguard in place.
