Recently relocated from NoVa to Mass and have gotten the itch to take on my first AR Build.  After lurking on the site for a while and reading available materials, I think I am reading to start picking up parts.  Due to my new AO, Can any members in the area recommend Ranges and/or Shops that have been good to work with?

Try posting in the Hometown Forums for ranges/shops in your area. You will most likely have more luck getting some responses.
