When I screwed it onto my barrel, it would not properly index.  The instructions do not cover this situation.  Do I use washers ala the M16A2 flash suppressor?

Thanks.

If you have a post ban thread (9/16") you will not be able to use a peel washer to get the correct indexing as there are not large enough diameter washers available. What you need to do is carefully remove material from the brake (the area that seats up against the thread crown) so that it will index when threaded in. Then use perma-bond.

It's a pre-ban thread.  How do you suggest I remove the material from the brake?

you can use a peel washer - it will fit. I did my post ban with a belt sander with frequent checks.

How about the crush washers, or am I way off base? I'm talking about the symetrically curved ones - they sure made indexing the flash hiders I use easy.

Thanks guys.  I think I'm going to go the crush washer route.  Besides Bushmaster, does anyone know of a good source for these?
