Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt gas block replacement

Reworking my colt 6700, flattop with fixed front sight - goofy.  Need to install a flat gas block, with the option of mounting a front sight on it.  Looking at the JP adjustable, is there any real benefit for tuning?  Has anyone used one?  Thanks for your input!
