I just finished building a CAR with mid-length handguards and an A2 buttstock. I would like to get a nylon or leather sling for it to use with targets. Not interested in a tactical sling or a ching sling. Just a basic sling that I can use for target practice, like I do with my other rifles.

Anybody got a recommendation and a good source?

Thanks!

This is about average.:

Of course a gun shop/Wallyworld will have the same thing for about the same price, and no wait.

Cheaper Than Dirt (.com) has all kinds of slings, from the cheapie GI "silent sling" to leather "military" slings. They also have the old web slings, both new and surplus, like were used on O3s and M1s in WW2 and later on M14s and M16 thru the early Vietnam era.

Search their website for slings.

I always use the mil standard nylon.  It's what I'm use to and can be found anywhere for very little.  I do have one quick release I use on a lower I switch out the upper but that's it.
