Well, it looks like a proper TIG welder is out of the question right now, and for a long time to come.

I have a little Hobart 120 wire feed at work I like, and what brand and specific wire is good for general gun work?

I want to shorten a reciever and bolt, weld on a replacement bolt handle, fill in buggered up screw holes... on non-stainless recievers.

Sorry, I can't help you with an answer, but if you don't get one here, post your question in the Forum section of www.roderuscustom.tzo.com. There's a large collection of people there who would be very familiar with this type of work.
