Here's a S&W shotgun I picked up on EE about 6 months ago for $100 shipped. It was an old beat Alabama BoC gun in rough shape.
The stock was painted black and had years of sweat and wear and tear from handling.
The barrel and receiver were a rusty brown but not pitted.
I took the whole unit apart and bead blasted it down to bare metal. I even bead blasted the wood to get the paint off then sanded it back to a smooth finish.
One can of Allumahide ll and some Tru-Oil on the wood and PRESTO!
I think she looks great. Just gotta sight her in now.

You really did a nice job on it!!  I'm impressed...  But right about now someone here is really kicking themselves for getting rid of it!!  How about a closeup of the receiver?  Been thinking about doing one here, just haven't "got around to it".  MournSword
