80% same as a Stripped Lower?

Is an 80% lower the same as a Stripped lower or does it require some other modifications or threading? Has anyone heard of a National Ordinance Company (NOC) lower receiver and are they any good?

That means it is 80% machined out of a forged or cast block. You will have to complete the last 20% to bring it up to a "stripped" lower.

Stripped lowers are complete, less the internal/external parts.

I'm not familier with NOC, but that doesn't mean someone else doesn't.

IMO this is a waste of material, unless you have some addiction to building everything yourself, just buy a stripped and build it up from there. Why spend more for an 80% and risk screwing it up beyond repair??

There are a lot of reasons. If you research it a bit maybe you could find them out.

NOC is national ordinance company... it is the same as the tannery shop castings.

they are fun to build.
