Does anybody have any experience machining their own Muzzle brakes? I have a mill and a lathe but I am not an expert machinist. A Muzzle brake doesn't look too dificult to me, am I missing something important?

I like the looks of the Badger Ordnance  Thruster comp. but I need one in a different thread. Would a threaded bushing to adapt the comp. to a smaller thread be acceptable?
