I bought a PEQ15 trainer to mess around with.

One thing I noticed with the Illuminator lens is that it seems a little canted.  Is this normal to allow the beam to focus when the head is rotated?

I've played around with a few other IR illuminators and haven't really noticed this with other ones.

Not sure about the illuminator... where did you pick it up?

ETA: I see the post below. I was more wondering if you got the .gov discount many speak of and if so was it direct through L3?

Yes, straight through L3 with a discount.

I am just wanting to double check that for some odd reason the illuminator lens wasn't adhered wrong.

Heres is the best pic I could get.  You can clearly see the offset lens.

Thanks for the reply.  I ended up scoring a full powered ATPIAL also, and compared them to confirm this was normal.
