I need a good, but cheap, laser that's good to 25yds. Is this possible for about $25? Suggestions? It's just for close quarters(BG in the hallway or night hunting).

IMO no.

Lasermax Uni-Laser @ $129 is the lowest I can think of; there may be cheaper, but you actually do get what you pay for.

After searching awhile, I discovered that lasers for guns are GROSSLY overpriced. Extremely simple concept that is extremely cheap to make has about a 1000% mark-up. Why is this?

What about the PA green laser?

Never tried a PA, but am fond of their products.  Mark up is inherent in gun stuff - i.e. Troy sights @ $240 a set

YMMV and just my .02
