I am looking at the strobes.  What is a good lower cost model?  Cose, make , model, etc please.

Light or Laser that has a strobe mode?

I just got the Insight XTI Procyon from brightflashlight.com (check the industry boards). 125 lumens, runs on 2 CR123. Pretty new, so I don't think a tape switch is out yet. $129 delivered last time i checked.

Wasn't aware of lasers that strobed, sweet.  But I meant a light.  Something lower cost.
