Here's a pic of Pentagon X2 using the Vltor mount and the dual rail FSB mount -
Considering you're going overseas, I would probably have to recommend going the Surefire route as there is relatively easy access to spare lamps and parts. Don't get me wrong, the Pentagon's are great lights but if it goes down you may be in trouble.
Depending upon your budget, you can look at a more budget minded setup like a G2 or 6P equipped with a shock isolated bezel which can help safeguard the lamp or go with a true dedicated weaponslight setup like the lightweight Surefire Classic which has both shock isolation and battery retention for the best possible protection.
Here's a G2 buildup (G2, Z32 s.i. bezel, Z49 clicker tailcap & Vltor mount) -
Here's a SF Classic (with barrel mount & XM tailcap) -
Regardless of which route you go I'm a big fan of the Z49 'clicker' tailcap, it will give you momentary activation with partial pressure or constant on with a deep press (until pressed hard again.)
