That's what they get for Duracell (with tax) at the local Wal-Mart here.

Give us a shot, we stock both the Surefire and Battery Station 123A's, they're as low as $15.50 delivered per dozen.

Let me know if I can help.

My favorite source for all batteries is Thomas Distributing. They have it all at good prices. I just noticed they now have a rechargeable CR-123 battery and charger and great prices on Regular CR123 Batteries.
I have done a lot of business with them, they are very good and very fast to ship. Be sure to check out their cool battery holders. They usually come free with a purchase of batteries, but they sell them seperately, very handy.

Careful with the rechargeables - the voltage exceeds the device in most cases.

I didn't use anything.... the pelican came pre cut.

I bought two of them at botach.  Botach was the ONLY place I found the 1020 with the pre cut foam for 123a batteries.  My order went through OK, but that is NO guarantee that yours would also.

Few people here on arfcom like Botach.... I must have been a lucky one.

Not all 123's are created equal.

Though SF are very good, in one test from candlepowerforum.com, Sanyo did better than SF.  IIRC, botach recently had Sanyo's for $20 for a box of 20 plus delivery.  Not sure if that was a sale price though.

True.  This is a danger for incandescents and other devices that don't have regulation circuitry.  Most SF LED's have this built in.

Also, rechargeables drain over time, making them not very suitable for weaponlight or emergency use, unless you take the time to recharge them regularly.

batterystation.com also has the Pelican micro's precut for CR123s.  I bought a package with a Pelican 1010 case and 15 batteries.  Here is a link: www.batterystation.com/cr123a.htm

Bought that too.  Keep 11 123's for lights and 4 N's for my Eothingie in my rifle bag wherever it goes.
