Hello all,
While at this years Shot Show I got an up close and personal look at the FIRST production model DBAL-A (Squared) IR Laser/IR illuminator and Vis. Laser unit. In fact, this is the first time the production model was seen at the Shot Show and to the public. I had an early pre-production model last year, but this unit had all the latest and greatest! The great staff here at ARFCOM showed up at magpul's booth where they took this great close-up of the unit while on my rifle. This is the heat, it will illuminate a target out to 1100 yards, but you need a D760 too really enjoy.

What Wes is talking about is while in Texas we lit up a windmill at 1100 yards all while viewing it with a D-760!!!  We should have took some pics of this Wes, it's not like I didn't have my camera 50 feet away!

Nope. Very cool toy, but lowly ordinary people exercising their given 2nd Amendment rights aren't allowed to buy such things. Most (not all, mind you) privately owned IR lasers are ones which have been purchased through an LE type agency for the patrol type rifles, and then have slipped into private use. Edited for spelling. |

I'm looking at picture #22 where you are wearing what you say is a vest with a 100oz. hydration system. How many ounces do the hydration systems of the two females beside you hold? Quite a bit I'd say:
 "This vest includes a 100oz hydration system."

IR lases are regulated by the FDA. Just get a research permit and you can buy them legally.

Victor,
Is this unit available with IR laser and IR illuminator out to the distances spec'd? I would be more inclined to go with total IR capability as opposed to needing the visible added. |

A research variance I mean.
FDA does not regulate OEM laser components so any of these could be sold with the understanding that they would be further integrated into another product. Oh, and if you just put a beam attenuator and key switch on them, you could sell them just like Edmund Scientific sells IIIb lasers. |
