I have a Bushy XM15 E2S flattop with removable carry handle and a 16" barrel.  The gun is completely factory .  This, in addition to my XD-9 SC, is my home defense weapon.  I have an XML light mounted to my XD and I am looking for an inexpensive way to mount a light to my AR.  Keep in mind, this has the factory foregrip and I have made no changes to OE design.  What do I need?  I would prefer to use a Surefire G2 as they are inexpensive.  I am open to to all  options.  I also do not want to tape/tie/rope anything to it.  Would like to use decent looking mounts that are sturdy.  Thanks!

I am going the same route with a G2.  I'm using a 1 inch scope ring, G2, and a Pentagon tape switch cap.  It will mounted on the right side rail and on my other rifle: a small light rail bolted to the under side holes of the handguard 1 inch scope ring, G2 w/pentagon tape switch attached to the left side for my thumb.  If you are really worried about the bezel you can upgrade with a SF one.  If wanna get cheaper and still sturdy try the Walmart or Target for a Brinkman Max with the same combo above.

So how do I mount it to the handgrip I have now?  Im not familiar with anything that will allow you to attach a scope ring to a stock handgrip.

I hope I am understanding you when you say foregrip, meaning (handguard)?

Hear is a link to check out for the rail.

Straight Cord Remote Pressure Pad Switch Tail Cap Black Anodized (Cylindrical) it will fit the G2.

Barrel Mount, Single Rail  mount for light (I dont know much about this kind)

And if you have a bayonet lug there is a mount that attaches on to it for a light.

After you get your rail, I would suggest the SF G2 with Daniel Defense 1" offset mount and SF Z32 shock resistant head unit.

I have the same set up except I'm also using a SF Z49 tail clicker switch upgrade.

It's an excellent quality light for the money.

I got it from Grant of G&R Tactical (industry parter of AR15.com) and he calls these affordable type of weapon lights "Working Man's Weapon Lights".

Good luck.
