In the future, Pentagon weaponlights will be offered with the LaRue Tactical #17S mount (direct from Pentagon)..

Pentagon also have their own mount made by LT and I will post pics tomorrow of it (along with a new light series by Pentagon).

Looks like Pentagon making some very good decisions for prouct improvement!

Now if they could make a dual button/tape switch like the Surefire XM switches they would really be kicking some ass...

Below is the new Pentagon Stealth series. It is a flat black (unlike their other glossy black lights) and features a LT offset mount.

So that's a 6 volt light, right?

Didn't LaRue talk about making a similar mount that would take other one inch diameter lights? Did that project go away?

So that's a 6 volt light, right?

Didn't LaRue talk about making a similar mount that would take other one inch diameter lights? Did that project go away?

I do believe it is a 6V (not my pic).

LT DID make a couple light mounts (have one), but never mass produced them. Not sure if they will or not.

Is that new LT offset mount going to be available by itself?

I’ve been saving my pennies for a LT117 offset mount, but this looks less complicated.

Lancelot, the above pic is indeed a 6v system but a 9v is also available as well as a 3w LED, these are all the same specs as the X2, X3 & L2. They currently have the 1.25" filter covers and hopefully the 1.5" will be relased soon. What's great is that'll be doing a green filter as well.

There are also more weapon systems being released by Pentagon: There will be another light/laser combo, a thumbscrew mount light system (w/ various mounting point solutions) and even a stand alone weapons laser.

Anybody have weights on the light with the LaRue mount in place?

How good is the 3W LED compared to... Let's say the KL1 and the Gladius?

How good is the 3W LED compared to... Let's say the KL1 and the Gladius?

It's brighter than the KL1 and has both more flood & longer throw (due in part to its larger bezel diameter).

And in comparison to the Gladius, there is very little difference, the Pentagon may have just a slighty tighter beam but range & whiteness is basically equal.

I tried a Pentagon 3W LED flash light and granted I did not have the Gladius with me at the moment I tried it but it did not seem as bright or to throw as far as the Gladius. Have any of the flashlight-a-holics done testing on the Pentagon 3W, used an intergrating sphere, etc?

We carry the Gladius also and the comparison was a side-by-side test, granted it was as technical as the guys at CPF but we were comparing close quarters flood & intensity and long range beam performance. Though the Pentagon 3w held it's own in both of those categories I'm not saying it's better than the Gladius, the Pentagon L2 is a single tool where as the Gladius gives you much more (tactical grip light system, strobe feature & low output capabilities).
