I just bought the X200A. I plan on using it for my G35 and my M4. So far I'm very happy with the performance of this little light. I think it's a great alternative to the more expensive Surefire weapons light systems. I have a couple questions though;

First, what is the little black retaining pin used for? It came in the box and I don't know where it belongs.

Second, my light seems to fit both my Glock and M4 perfectly using only the Universal adaptor plate. Does this sound normal? How different dimensionally are the Universal and Picatinny plates?

Regarding the pin; If you look at the battery cover latch, you wil see a pair of holes drilled crosswise to the tabs holding the latch in place. the one closest to the switch is for the pivot pin that retains the battery cover latch.

The second, nearest the diagram for how the batteries go in, is where that pin you've described goes. It serves as a lock to prevent the battery cover latch from being accidently depressed, and letting the batteries fall out.

Glock, and most other handgun makers, based their rails on the Picatiny/M1913 rail.

Glock, new P99's, S&W TSW's, Taurus, etc will require the Universal plate.

Sig, Beretta, Springfield XD & TRP, Kimber, FN 5-7, etc. are 1913 spec' and require the Picatinny plate.

You can use the Universal plate on a Picatinny rail but you'll have some fore & aft play.

Can I use an x220a on a USPc-45? If so what adapter do I need?

Umm no they didnt... thats whay we have two plates for the X200... one for Glock spec rails and one for 1913 rails.

Oops. Head up ass syndrome. I thought Glock was using the 1913.

Figured they'd have learned the lesson from HK and thier proprietary rail system on the USP. Guess they are so big that accessory makers will make Glock specific parts though.

The Surefire MR08 adapter is what you're after. There is also a mount from GG&G as well.
