What say the Arfcom Hive Brain?  I have read the reviews on Flashlightreviews.com, but I also want to hear from those who have used these lights.  Looking to use these for duty use, not for weapon use.
Thanks, Don

I have the Pelican M6 and it works for me, BUT I am no longer a door kicking, swamp slogging, sandbox crawling, jungle creeping, shadow dodging bad ass (if I ever thought I was).

I will say that I am currently looking at some of the newer LED types out that and I am using an Inova X03 as a GP light.  Side by side against the Inova X03, my Pelican M6, SF-G2 and a couple of other Xenon types I have, all look like they are a tea candle my wife has lit all the time.  That LED is BRIGHT.

I am looking at the Inova T3 for a weapon light in the near future.  IMHO, LEDS are going to the front of the class.

If you go with the Pelican make sure it is the NEW version.  The 2390 model with the 3W LED light.  I like it better than my G2.

For general-purpose duty use, I prefer the Pelican M6 LED.  It's bright enough to see well with, but it isn't a "tactical" bright.  Did that make sense?

Anyhow, the G2 is a good light, and certainly cheap compared to the Pelican M6/M6 LED.  If that's important, run with the plastic.

My next light will be from Pentagon, not Surefire.

Wasn't looking for an LED at this point - sticking to an incandecent/lithium setup.
Also looking at a scorpoin or a pentagon, trying to stay under $60 if I can.

Brinkman Maxfire LX! It's better than G2 and half the price.

I like the G2 better.

I have both.  The Pelican M6 (incandescent) is noticeably brighter.  The Surefire G2 is noticeably lighter.

Either would serve well.  If it's something for around the house or truck, the M6 is great.  The G2 is a lot easier to carry all day, especially if you carry more than one light.

I just picked up a Pelican M6 1W LED and am waiting for the 3W to ship. I got the 1W for $46 and the 3W for $56.
