No, not exactly, the weaponslights have a feature called 'battery isolation' built into it. What this feature does is prevent the batteries from slamming into the back of the lamp assy. under recoil. While this is less of an issue with light recoil weapons such as the AR-15 it is more crucial for shotguns, larger caliber rifles and handguns.

Well if thats the only other difference, can i put a rubber spacer between the lamp and batteries or some other type of modification to hold the batteries to the rear?
