Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Does anyone use handgun style tactical lights on rifles?

I ordered a Steamlight for my Glock today and saw that the Glock rail and 1913 4 rail forend I have on my M15A4 are basically the same.

Does anyone use a Surefire x200 or Steamlight M3X on their rifle?

I run a Streamlight M3 LED on my patrol riflle.

I've used my X200A on both my .223 carbine and on an RAS equipped MP5. I personally prefered it on the MP5 more. There were no problems at all.

I have two online friends that also run X200A's on their .223 carbines.

However I normally use millenium series lights on long guns.
