For the most part, the ones I have been looking at look so clunky and large. I see a few that are small lamp size. I am in the market for a lazer unit, however, I hate to clutter up my AR. Any suggestions for a more streamlined unit?

LASER.  not lazer.
and no.  they are big and heavy because they need to be.
the small ones are easily damaged.

Believe it or not but the OTAL is smaller than I thought it would be in person. Also the LDI LAS/TAC is not too big either and both are very nice units. They are not big at all.

Because they have to be water proof because of the angy sea base.

The LDI Las/Tac is small, and very solid. Itis also warranted against breakage. I have 5,000 rounds on mine, with no damage or failure.
