Its a 9v lamp. You will need to pick up an extention and run 3 batteries instead of two.
Here is my "frankenlight" I built from parts from briteflashlites in the Industry forum. It has the P91 in it and it is bright as hell! The extension is the part that the ring is mounted to. BF sells them.

Paul is the only guy I know who had to buy a $300+ light just to match his flash suppressor.
