Neither the C series or the M series are truely a weaponsgrade system because they lack the battery isolation feature.  The difference with the M series is that they do come with a shock isolated bezel which is a benefit for weapons use.  However, that same shock isolated bezel can be purchased for your C2.  I actually like to see folks go the C2 route rather than the M2 because you can build the C2 into an M2 for basically the same price but end up with a spare bezel.

All the M series also come with the high output bulb in addition to the standard low output buld thats in the light. All the other lights only have the one bulb. Considering that the high output bulbs are somewhat costly as far as bulbs go, I usually recommend getting the M series. If you buy the C2 and then the P61 HOLA, you wind up spending about as much as you would if you get the M2. Except you still dont have the shock bezel. Sort of the same rational, but applied in another way. I guess it all depends on what you want and need

I didn't exactly make myself clear, you can get the C2-HA Centurion, seperate M2-HA s.i. bezel and the P61 high output lamp assy. all for a few $'s less than the M2. Going that route gives you the spare C2 bezel that you can switch back to if you decide you want a slimmer profile for certain occasions.

I'll take NEITHER for use as a weaponlight for $500 Alex....
