Well to be honest, it is the quality and power of the diode. Couple that with a quality hosing (T6 Aircraft grade Alum), quality mount and a pressure switch and you have an expensive (well made) piece of gear. Generally with the cheaper laser they won't hold zero or even withstand recoil. I have personally used and currently sell Lasers and the only two I would buy are the ones made by Laser Deivces and CTC...
