I am looking to purchase a M500 series light, I am not sure if I am going to get the A or the B. I am looking for feedback on either version, and a place to get it that is cheap.

The M500 series is an excellent setup  (as long as you don't want a Vertical Grip). The M500A should fit most of your needs unless you need to ID targets a long way out (say over 100yds). I have the Surefire M500B and love it.  But it does add a decent amount of weight to the front of the rifle.   I use it at work, and am in a rural enviornment with open fields.   The extended range is great for my purposes, but it is a little much for building searches.
