I was thinking about mounting a 6P with the mount below to my Colt SMG and using a pressure pad.  I heard that the 6P is not shock isolated and needs to have some parts replaced...  This will be the first time I have mounted a light like this, since all of my other lights have been in dedicated housings (870 Replacement Forearm and whatnot).  So, what needs to be done to mount a 6P on a Colt SMG with this mount?
Thanks

If you imagine that the G2-OD in this photo is your 6P, a good place to start is to get a Z32 Shock isolated bezel for it:

You then may want to add a tape pressure switch:

Any friendly SureFire Dealer who has even the slightest experience in WeaponLights should know what you're after and be able to get hold these part for you (although you may have to email or call, or even, dare I say it, walk in and speak to them).

You might consider a UxxyyB switch that provides both momentary (tape switch) and constant-on (rocker switch) operation. There may be situations where you have to take your forward hand off of the handguard, but you still want the flashlight to be on.

Also, if you want to do away with the excessive length of the SureFire lanyard, replace it with shock cord, which you can find in a fabric store. Because the shock cord can stretch, you can use a much shorter lanyard length and also eliminate the cord locks and metal fasteners.
