It's time to buy a light for my Bushy M4 type. My FFL dealer friend threw in a Surefire 1" ring mount with my last order of stuff...so I guess I need a to get a light...what good is having a mount if I don't have a light for it!

I have First Samco M44 handguards, so I can mount in the 3:00 position (which what is what I would prefer). The weapon will have an Aimpoint M2 mounted. I also have a GG&G forward grip. Ideally, I would like to use a pressure pad system mounted to the forward grip to operate the primary functions of the light.

The weapon's primarily purpose is plinking at the range. Secondly, it's part of my home defense/SHTF arsenal.

Which set-up would you good folks recommend? I am more "value" as opposed to being price point conscious.

Thanks very much for your suggestions!

Surefire 6 or 9v classic light will work with the 1 inch ring, they are somewhat expensive consider the design but they are effective and very durable.

I also recommand the Pelican's weapon light, Botach sell that with the pressure switch for about 30 dollars, it is a very good deal and it is as bright as the Surefire classic and as far as I have seen, they are pretty sturdy units.

Thanks SMGLee! I Think I'll try for the Pelican.
